Theodore Roosevelt High School Public Service
Project
Our chapter is embarking on a very important and
exciting public service project involving Theodore
Roosevelt Senior High School, 4301 13th Street,
NW, Washington DC 20011.
We expect to be involved in a number of initiatives
over time, but our initial focus will be on supporting
the school's library. There are four ways (outlined
below) that you can assist in this effort. Please
give generously; the need is great and we want to
do all we can to make an impact.
Thank you for your generosity.
1. Donate new books by, about or related to Theodore
Roosevelt (details follow);
2. Donate a new or GENTLY used DVD player and/or
television;
3. Donate new or GENTLY used books from the DC Public
Schools "Read Across DC" list (details
follow); or
4. Contribute to the chapter. Your donation will
be used to purchase books not received directly
from members.
If there is a specific book you would like to donate,
please send an email to info@capitalareatra.org
or contact chapter secretary, Tely Psitos, at 703-978-0258.
This will help us keep a balanced inventory so we
don't end up with multiple copies of some books
and none of others.
We will have a book collection at our annual dinner
on Saturday, June 21, 2008. We hope that most books
will be donated in this manner; however, we will
be happy to receive mailed copies or arrange to
pick-up books. If you can't bring a book with you
to the annual dinner, please send an email to info@capitalareatra.org
or contact chapter secretary, Tely Psitos, at 703-978-0258.
Donations can be mailed to Capital Area Chapter
TRA, 1405 15th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005
Thank you for participating in this worthwhile endeavor.
